Jackson's Christmas...just had to post this video!

Here's a video of my dog, Jackson, on Christmas morning. He decided Matthew couldn't have all the fun opening presents!

Jackson is a 1.5yr old red-tri Miniature Australian Shepherd. He is the younger half-brother of my other dog, Paige.

It's "Miss Lesley" for only 3 more weeks!!!

Three weeks from nowI will marry my fiance and become a "Mrs". That's so weird...and so utterly exciting. I finally caved tonight and filled a page with my new name...don't laugh...I HAVE to practice my signature! I can't wait to start signing my new name...his name...our new family name.

Time sure has passed us by these last few months...December brought on the stress and pressure of exams for me, let alone the craziness of Christmas/New Years. It was our first Christmas together; and it took some planning to spread ourselves amongst our two families, but it all worked out to be a wonderful Christmas time. Now, January is almost over, a new school term started for me with four brand new courses. Wedding plans are still underway, with final decisions made about ceremony readings, readers, music, and reception meal. Even got started on some flower arrangements the other day too. Three weeks and counting...21 sleeps!!!

I have had 3 showers already, 2 bridal showers and 1 wedding shower which Matthew got to attend with me. The first bridal shower was a total surprise which even Matthew was in on, thrown by my cousins Dana and Eva during the Christmas break. The next was family party hosted by Matthew's parents for all his aunts and cousins...it was a great way to connect with some of his family members before the wedding and get to know them a little. Last weekend was the wedding shower which Matthew got to attend with me; thrown by his parents' church, where he grew up. BUT...there is one more, tomorrow afternoon...that's right, another bridal shower, hosted by my dear friend Sheila. It'll mostly be women from church, so it should be a really relaxing and comfortable setting.

Today I had lunch with my Man of Honour and his wife who came to town for the weekend. It's awesome to see how helpful everyone wants to be in regards to the wedding the weekend of the big day. I also got to give them a tour of our new house; sadly still caught up in the mild renovations stage.

I just got off the phone with Matthew...he is currently in Mississauga visiting his Best Man and Best Woman. They wanted to throw him a little Bachelor Party this weekend! It sounds like they've done a fantastic job of torturing him and having a great time together. I really wish I could have been there, I love visiting them too,...but I know he needs party time with his friends too. And the time apart just makes us more excited for the wedding...when we can live together and be together all the time. I can't wait to be his wife...and he can't wait to be my husband...God has blessed us with such a love for one another...God be with you as you travel home to me tomorrow, my Love!!! I'll be your "Mrs" soon!!!
